Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways to Operate Flights for 15 Destinations Post Introducing Wellness Ambassadors
Famous for its service among travellers, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways is all set to restructure its flight schedule to accommodate 15 more cities to its existing list. With this addition from July 16, the airline will be able to reach 40 destinations across the globe by August.
The new destinations will cover inbound and outbound flights to places in Europe, Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. The service will be initiated for five cities in Europe, including Manchester, Munich and Istanbul. In India, the new flight schedule will cover seven destinations, including Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.
As Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways is following all sanitary regulations mandated by the government, passengers are regularly reminded to check latest travel advice and regulations prior to booking flights. The airline encourages all travellers to follow the required entry, health and quarantine rules. For booking flights, passengers must have a valid UAE resident visa and ICA approval number.
Earlier in June, the airline had announced the launch of “Etihad Wellness” as a part of its health and hygiene programme. Under this programme, the airline has introduced specially trained “Wellness Ambassadors” at Abu Dhabi International Airport to provide travel health related information to guests.
Speaking about the launch, General Manager at Abu Dhabi International Airport said, “We are pleased to introduce our wellness ambassadors who are a reflection of Abu Dhabi Airports’ commitment to delivering exceptional services and prioritising health and safety. The ambassadors will ensure every traveller feels cared for and comfortable at Abu Dhabi International Airport.”
For dealing with the crisis, the airport authorities have installed touchless elevator systems and autonomous sterilisation robots. To ensure safe travel, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that all the UAE residents returning from foreign countries must present a valid Covid-19 negative test result for booking flights.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways has been laying special focus on fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. Based on the latest guidelines from the World Health Organisation, the firm collaborated with Austrian-based healthcare technology firm — Medicus AI to launch a Coronavirus risk-assessment tool. With this tool, Etihad guests can evaluate their probability of being infected with the virus.
The recent addition to Etihad’s flight schedule along with the measures that the company is taking to avoid the spread of Covid-19 will boost the confidence of travellers.
