Qatar’s culture and heritage have always grabbed the interest of tourists from around the world. If you are looking forth to experiencing the museums and architecture of this country, you must look for Qatar Museums’ Culture Pass membership that will give you a chance to experience various museums and galleries of the country.

To get unlimited entry into several museums, you can avail any of the three plans offered on Qatar Museums website. The basic plan — Culture Pass Basic is free of cost and gives you a 10% discount at cafes and kiosks. The Culture Pass Plus membership (QAR 200) and the Culture Pass Family membership (QAR350) offers unlimited free tours per year along with several other benefits.

Recently, two new passes — Culture Pass Teachers and Culture Pass Students have been added to support teachers and students in Qatar. With these passes, members can access museums’ educational services, workshop opportunities and experience exciting creative online programming.

Qatar Museums Culture Pass can help you get free entry into Al Riwaq Gallery, Museum of Islamic Art, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, National Museum of Qatar and Fire Station Garage Gallery.

For a closer insight into the history of Qatar’s archeological sites and a well-rounded public art installation around the city, Qatar Museums organises tour series too. On tours like these, you can see Jassasiya Rock Art Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site — Al Zubarah, an archaeological gem in North Qatar — Gardens of Ruwaida or visit a town from the time of the Abbasid Caliphs — Murwab.

A specially designed Qatar Museums’ Culture Pass mobile application can be downloaded on both Android and IOS phones, which will act as a personal guide when you explore the museums. Virtual visitors can see the Lusail Handball Installations, Smoke by Tony Smith, Gandhi’s Three Monkeys by Subodh Gupta, The Miraculous Journey by Damien Hirst and many more works at the Hamad International Airport and Qatar University.

Starting July 3, Qatar Museums’ Culture Pass members can view the process of nesting and hatching of hawksbill turtles at the serene atmosphere of Fuwairit beach. The news was announced by Qatar Museums Chairperson HE Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani saying, “You asked — we delivered! The Hawksbill turtle hatching season is here, and we are happy to facilitate visits to our Cultural Pass members to participate in visiting the nesting grounds located in Fuwairit for the month of July and August, on Thursday to Tuesday between 6pm and 8pm”.

To ensure proper social distancing, only eight attendees wearing proper face masks will be allowed to visit at a given time. All the safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Public Health will be followed properly.
