Famous for its smashing nightlife, fine powdery sands and exquisite turquoise bays, Barbados is the most perfect destination to visit post Covid-19 as it has now been marked Covid-19 free after a long fight against the virus. Recently, Prime Minister Amor Mottley announced that all curfews will be lifted today.

As per authority records, the island has not seen any new cases since past 35 days. Considering the progress, Mottley eased some restrictions that will significantly boost Barbados’ tourism. She claimed that commercial flights will resume operations from July 12 at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA).

British Airways will run a weekly flight out of London Gatwick on July 18. Jet Blue will also restart operations on July 25 with four flights per week out of JFK in New York. The announcement to encourage Barbados’ tourism was made during a press conference at Ilaro Court in the presence of the Minister of Tourism and International Transport — Kerrie Symmonds among others.

Proposing the future of Barbados’ tourism, Symmonds shared some part of the tourism reboot plan, which included satellite entertainment activities and the refurbishment of the popular St. Lawrence Gap. The Prime Minister is encouraging travellers to pick Barbados for extended stays.

As per government guidelines, travellers visiting the island will have to complete an online Embarkation or Disembarkation card related to personal health questions. After attaching the necessary documents, travellers will receive a bar code via email.

In order to avoid a second-wave of the virus, the island mandates each traveller to present a covid-19 negative result and a bar code at the time of arrival.
