Middle East’s famous scuba spots are often hold top positions in the adventure lists of all water babies. With excellent diving conditions and exquisite views, many scuba diving spots in the region are worth checking out at least once in life. Here is a list of some scuba diving spots you could visit for a heavenly experience.

Turkey

If you wish to see some of the most popular scuba diving spots of the Middle East, you should head to Turkey and dive in Antalya, Kas, Gallipoli and Bodrum. The interesting wrecks and caves in the Turkish Riviera which are home to sea breams, octopuses and barracudas often attract scuba divers from around the world. Since the weather conditions in Turkey are mostly warm, you can dive in the waters any time of the year. If you wish to participate in a busy scuba diving session, visit in between April — August.

Oman

In Oman, you can head out to the Daymaniyat Islands where you can see turtle nesting like no other place in the world. The nine beautiful islands located in the Gulf of Oman are perfect to dive into if you want to enjoy the transparent waters. A special permit is needed for diving here. If you plan to visit, keep a check on the nesting season as boats aren’t permitted at that time.

Jordan

Some famous scuba spots in the Gulf of Aqaba are often addressed as mecca for divers in Jordan. Preserved coral reefs and unique sea life in clear waters are a hit among divers. With nearly 25 scuba diving spots and exquisite sandy beaches, the Aqaba is worth a visit.

Egypt

Another in the list of famous scuba spots is the Sharm El Sheikh. Sprawling shipwrecks, exquisite reef systems in the 30 diving spots that are accessible from this resort city will tick most of your underwater wishlist. Several environmental sustainability practices are used in the region to conserve marine life. Since the region is quite popular among tourists, divers can easily book tours and explore the place with local guides.

Red Sea

For a fascinating look at dolphins in the underwater world, we could head to the Samadai Reef (Dolphin House), which is located off the Marsa Alam in South-Eastern Egypt. From spinner dolphins to bottlenose species, varied species of dolphins will make your scuba diving even more worthwhile.

Dubai

Some famous scuba spots in Dubai are also worth a try. You could head over to the Kish Island for a memorable experience. The best part is that divers visiting this free trade zone area from Dubai do not have to necessarily have a visa.

If you want to buy some accessories for your future scuba diving experiences, you can head to the website of the UK’s top scuba retailer — ‘Simply Scuba’. Since the stock is supplied directly from the warehouse, the products will be delivered to you quite fast.

Also, since you can’t travel to these places at the moment, you can binge watch some movies that include clippings of famous scuba spots from around the world. Some movies that you can watch are shown in the image below:
